Busy Fall!

I was in Marietta, Georgia giving a cold wax and oils workshop during Hurricane Florence.  The area  didn't experience any damage, but I had to leave a day earlier than planned and left two days later than planned due to storm related closures on the highways.  We did have a lot of fun though!

Yesterday, I took several paintings down to the "Over the Mantel Gallery" in Columbia, SC.  This one is a new painting I took there.  It's titled "Peacock Afield" and is an oil and cold wax painting on board.  I'm really liking the color palette in this one.  Don't be surprised if I try it again on another piece.

I finished a commission last month and the owners were kind enough to send a photo of it hanging in their lovely living room.  This is "Waiting for the Storm to Pass II".  Seemed appropriate that I had to literally 'wait for the storm' to pass to ship it!  Glad it arrived safe and sound.

What's on my easel?

I'm working on this rather industrial looking piece now.  I'm not finished, but thought I'd share the work in progress.  It's getting there.  Pretty close I'd say!
